| The essay states the significance of information system construction for COSCON that is to reduce operation cost, to increase the utilization of vessel and slot space and to increase enterprise's market competition. It analyzes the present situation and challenge facing of information system of COSCON. Though it made much progress in the aspect of software and hardware, it is orientated to production and short of market orientated function model like customer relationship. The lack of the overall planning for information system brings about enterprise's information isolation. Employees are not so conscious of information system which makes difficult the popularization of information system. With the fast development of internet and deepening application of information technology, the information system of an enterprise should be supportive and uniform information sharing integrity to render information as the enterprise , its business partner and its customers need anytime and anywhere. It is also the prerequisite and key condition for the enterprise competition under environment of e-business of the 21st century. The paper analyzes the main functions of COSCON information system and the information system construction structure. Through analysis of current information technology including network communication technology, internet development and organizational structure of information system as well as COSCON's business structure, it has been concluded that COSCON information system should use B-W-S and functional models in conformity with global marketing integration. It also analyzes the implementation scheme of COSCON information system. A detailed plan of each stage of the information system construction has been given through the analysis and discussion of the information development mode and the types of equipment. The last part of the paper analyzes the investment and profit of information system construction. |
