In the process of traditional commerce, the distribution of goods generally requires a variety of intermediate sectors, which leads to the problems of exhausting the productive resource and raising the cost of production. Since e-commerce could shorten the supply sectors and economize the productive resource, it would raise the implicit benefit of the industries. So far, the underdevelopment of logistic system not only restricts the universalization of e-commerce but also is the bottleneck of development of e-commerce.The doctrine of equating the process of e-commerce with the electronicalizing and websizing of information and funding, ignoring of the electronicalizing of logistics is rooted in the minds of consumers and scholars. From their viewpoint, the logistics could still trace the traditional distribution system, which is effective for most of the goods and services. However, it is apparent that the logistics will play a key role in further extension and implement of e-commerce. Strengthening the modernizing of logistic management, suitable for e-commerceactivities, would directly influence on the development of e-commerce in China.Combining with the characteristics of logistics in the modern e-commerce, the paper employed the empirical methodology and theoretic analysis to explore the effective logistic modes for the development of e-commerce, to present the specific start-up modes of logistic under the agency system, and to elucidate the required conditions of such modes, based on the current capacity of logistic in China.
