| Looking back the theories and practice of the urban economic function, it is found that although these theories came into being under different circumstance and from the different points of view, they all believed that the development of city must keep up with the tendency of times, especially in the construction of urban economic functions among which business & trade function is quite important.After the blueprint of complete the business & trade function of Zhengzhou was made in 1980's, many advancement has been achieved. But there are still some defects, etc. Regional economic influence of Zhengzhou is poor, the market system is of low quality and the soft circumstance has not been paid attention to.Nowadays, the progress of economic globalization is speeding up. China has been a member of WTO. Network economics and urbanization has been a new tendency. The plan of western development has been brought up. All these new changes require new theories on Zhengzhou's construction of business & trade function.Under this situation the paper draws the conclusion of how to complete the business & trade function of Zhengzhou, by considering foreign practice and the special condition of it.The main creative points of this paper are in chapter 2 and 5:For the first time the paper summarizes the defects in the construction of business & trade function of Zhengzhou.The paper thinks that we should try best to do as follows: 1.
