Studies On Agricultural Industrialization In Southeastern Fujian

Agricultural industrialization is a new-typed institution for backing up, protecting and propelling agricultural development in the process of deepening rural reforms in China. It is another crucial measures for upgrading rural economic development through the approaches of management. It is the third agricultural reform and institutional renovation in the aftermath of rural household contract responsibility system and the prosperity of township enterprises. Agricultural industrialization is regarded as a self-revolution in management mechanism featured with modernization and scientification, following the changes of production relations in rural area. Agricultural industrialization has strong, direct chain reactions in solving the problems and contradictions of rural market economy development. It plays an important part in putting agriculture, countryside and farmers onto the right track of socialism market economy. It has direct and active influences on current agricultural restructuring as well as establishing and shaping the independent industrial position of agricultural self-accumulation, self-development and benign cycle. In all, agricultural industrialization has a far-reaching impact on the transition of traditional agriculture to modern agriculture.South-eastern Fujian, which covers such prefectures as Fuzhou, Xiamen, Putian, Zhangzhou and Quanzhou, is the fairly developed regions in Fujian. In comparison to other regions in Fujian, the area has its favorable advantages in agricultural development. The paper dwells on how the strategy of agricultural industrialization is proposed and the demonstration of the connotations, crux, features and meanings of agricultural industrialization by an analysis of agricultural industrialization. The paper also attempts to make an analysis of the comparative advantages, preliminary achievements and problems in the process of agricultural industrialization in the regions. Following that, the paper focuses on the establishment of agricultural industrialization in southeastern Fujian. Researches are also conducted on marketing systemestablishment, agricultural restructuring, leading enterprises and interest distribution system, Fujian-Taiwan agricultural cooperation and the roles that farmers, agricultural enterprises and government have played in agricultural industrialization. Among all the researches, the paper highlights construction of leading enterprises as well as the interest distribution system between leading enterprises and farmers, suggesting better and proper approaches for agricultural development in the southeastern Fujian.
