How could China confront the vital questions of economic globalization, which has been an unavoidable tide of history? Covering all the experience and lessons, China-a developing country adhering to socialism that itself is an open system梥hould involve in the tide actively. Only merged in the trend of world economy, can we become benefit-tending and harm-avoiding.Shown as the globalization of production, trade and finance, economic globalization has whipped its own features. The essence, however, is argued sharply home and abroad. From the analysis of theory and practice, the writer holds that economic globalization, is a sense, can be called the globalization of capitalism. Because it is the objective requirement of productivity improvement as well as a comprehensive effect and external manifestation of present capitalism development at a new stage.To China, economic globalization means both opportunities and challenges. On one hand, it provides golden time for stepping up Chinese economic development. Creating favorable factors to make full use of foreign capital, technology, resources and markets, it brings about the turning point to optimization and upgrading of economic structure. Considerable numbers of new posts have been supplied to absorb surplus rural labor. It offers China important ways to realize her up-and-coming advantages, to shorten the distance to developed countries, to solve the problem of power insufficiency to reform and development. On the other hand, China is experiencing critical challenges. The possibility of sovereignty weakening makes economic security threatened, which adds to many dangerous factors. It gives China the trouble of talent running off, which will aggravate the pressure of employment.For the above-mentioned reasons, we should aim at state economic sovereignty defense and economic security guarantee. Handle the relationship between the government and the market to clarify focal points of governments work. We should speed up the pace of reform and realize the trail-blazing of systems. Meanwhile, stick to the opening policy to build up beneficial international environment. With further macro-regulation, we can utilize markets and resources home and abroad to overcome the negative effect positively.
