Marx's Thought Of Economic Globalization And Its Contemporary Reflection

“Economic globalization” is a concept frequently used in academic circles,cultural circles,political circles and even business circles in various countries.It is a topic of general interest discussed by academic circles at home and abroad as well.Although Marx has not directly used the term “economic globalization” in his works,Marx's rich and profound theoretical system does contain the idea of economic globalization.Especially,his theoretical views on “world market”,“world communication” and “world history” are still of directive importance for comprehending and grasping the contemporary phenomenon of economic globalization.Therefore,it is worthy of our in-depth exploration.This thesis on studying Marx's idea of economic globalization has the following two main themes.Firstly,this paper aims to outline the historical development and basic conclusions of this idea from the perspective of ideological history;secondly,it aims to conduct a comprehensive survey of contemporary economic globalization in accordance with Marx's idea of economic globalization.With the aforementioned points,the main contents of this paper are as follows: 1,Exploring the historical development of Marx's idea of economic globalization.2,Interpreting the theoretical essence of Marx's idea of economic globalization.3,Observing the contemporary economic globalization phenomenon based on Marx's idea of economic globalization.4,Observing China in the tide of economic globalization according to Marx's idea of economic globalization.Throughout the history of Marx's theoretical creation,we can roughly divide the development course of Marx's idea of economic globalization into four stages: the first one is the embryonic period.In Marx's works such as “Kreuznach Notes” “Pariser Hefte” “Economic and Philosophical Manuscripts of 1844”,Marx realized the historical mission of the proletariat in the process of historical development by analyzing the French bourgeois revolution and different historical periods of different countries.Also,he initially realized the significant role of economic relations in promoting the formation of world history.The second stage is the formative period.In “The German Ideology” and “The Communist Manifesto”,Marx profoundly explored the prospect,impetus and trend of economic globalization,correctly grasped the law of human history and systematically explained various basic issues such as “what is economic globalization” from the perspective of historical materialism.The next stage is the deepening period.In “Economic manuscripts in 1857-1858” and “Das Kapital”,Marx deeply discussed the internal driving force of economic globalization,revealed the internal law of economic globalization's development and analyzed realistic problems such as “why can economic globalization be realized”.The last period is when Marx's idea of economic globalization was enriched.In “Notes of Anthropology”,“Notes of History” and “Studies on the Path of Russian and Oriental Society”,Marx focused on the historical process of social development,explored the historical connection of human world from the historical source.He made an in-depth analysis of major theoretical and practical issues such as the road of oriental social development through analyzing the dialectical relationship between the national character and the cosmopolitan nature of the contradictory movement between the productive forces and the relations of production in the process of world history.From the investigation of its development,we can find that Marx's idea of economic globalization is constantly deepening.Thus,the idea of economic globalization with specific theoretical connotation,interpretation principle and theoretical horizon is formed.Marx's idea of economic globalization not only scientifically reveals the beginning,the driving force,the law and the trend of economic globalization,but also provides people with thinking mode and scientific stand for correctly understanding economic globalization and its development process.Especially,encountering global problems and contradictions in the process of contemporary economic globalization,we need to dialectically analyze and criticize them with Marx's idea of economic globalization.For instance,this paper analyzes the performance,fundamental causes and the impact of anti-globalization and de-globalization in the light of this idea.Therefore,we are able to scientifically understand the relationship between “two systems” and the challenges in the process of economic globalization.Meanwhile,we are supposed to combine this idea with China using its basic viewpoints to explore the Chinese road and the Chinese plan in the tide of economic globalization.In a word,Marx's idea of economic globalization still has great vitality in the contemporary era.An important task for the theoretical research is to profoundly demonstrate the vitality.
