At the turn of the centLiry, economic g1obalization have become importantfeatUIes of the world economy, have become fashionable topics fOr theinternational economic, political and academic circles. As the basic trend of theworld economy, it is the product of the science and technology revolution. It isturning the wor1d into an inierdependent commdrity with common developmentobjectives. However, being a historical trend prompted by deve1oped countries,we should see economic g1obalization as a doub1e-edged sword. First, by theiniernational caPital floW technological exchange and the e1emellt assign, it canpromote the world economy. At the same time, the g1obal game rules are uchir andunreasonabIe, so that the result is the g1obalization of problems and risks. This willlead the deve1oping coUnries, especial1y the weak countries into a passive andbordered sitllation. Bat we shouId see no maller how the economic globalizationcan bring the benefit and evil-that we can't pariy it. Estimating the situation,combing with our cou-ntries' featLires and deve1oping a groW-th strategycompatible to the trend of economic globa1ization is an ardeni task facing mostdeveloping coamries. This docuxneni addresses the implications, feareres andcauses of the economic globalization, gives an assessment of the oppodrities andchallenges fOr the developing coUntries, and try to inquire into the correspondingmeasu-res.
