In the process of our country's reform and opening to the world as well as the socialist market economy construction,there exist many problems in the ideological-political work,which require to be solved urgently. In the field of theory many educators have made some approaches to that,yet they study more likely from the content and method of it,which lack systematic and profound rational thought. As to our realistic work,we often find that the malpractice effect of ideological-political work results in our ignorance to it,such as,"one hand firm,the other soft","saying is one thing,doing is another,and when busy it is miner important". Obviously,to solve this problem fundamentally the reform on the content and method only is far too enough. The key to it is to resolve the ideological-political work's value orientation both of the lack on concept and safekeeping on practice. In the long run of our ideological-political work's value orientation,we used to fix eyes only on the dominance,the obvious political value and function,yet ignore its inner economy value. Therefore,the value and function of our ideological-political work is often voided intentionally.In order to set a scientific and correct value to the ideological-political work,we have to make a historical study to the statue and function of our party's ideological-political work,the content of which can be concluded as:First,analyses to the traditional statue and function of ideological-political work,which includes three stages:the period of new democratic revolution,the initial period of new China and the period of socialist construction. At the same time,we have to summarize what the ideological-political work at every period as well as the experience that had achieved and the good tradition that had formed,and confirm that the ideological-political work is the basic rule to achieve victories of both the new democratic revolution and socialist construction. Second,the confusion of the ideological-political work during '"the Cultural Revolution" and its redresses in the new period,analyses the reason to it and summarizing its great turning after the 3rd conference of the eleventh CPC. which mainly manifests in the way of our work's ascertaining,following the rule of truth,concerning the principle of interest and approaching the scientific method etc. Third,the thought of avianization to our ideological-political work,discussing and analyzing the deeply rooted identified origin and theoretical origin,that is. 1. Vulgarizing the decisive effect of the productive forces,believing that only if the material progress keeps up. so does the spiritual gracefulness 2. Absolutizing the central statue of economy construction is the only aim of social development 3. unilatering the standard of the productive forces,believing that all methods can be offered only if it can enhance the advancement of the productive forces. It is because of these misunderstandings that the ideological-political work was put at the embarrassed circumstance of "saying is one thing,doing is another,and when busy it is miner important" on practice.The aim of observing the history is to summarize the past and look forwards to the future.Reconsidering the get-lost of the ideological-political work is to develop its function and get surpass of the traditional value recognition and realistic mistaken to it,in which we can give scientific setting to the ideological-political work in the condition of socialist market economy,and give rein to its "life-line" statue.Firstly,we have to set scientific recognition to its value-assessed standard,break through the traditional misleading of policy explanation,order obedience,solo-economy mention and the trend of "ideological form" to the ideological-political work,defining its concealed value.Secondly,we have to set developing view to the ideological-political work and set correct value orientation to it comprehensively.
