But in the process of economic development,due to the new things and new situations appearing constantly, the shortcomings in allaspects of their development also gradually revealed. On this basis, China’s leaders putforward the new target of building a harmonious socialist society. Citizens, as part of thebody of the building work, will undoubtedly play a very important role. Citizens’consciousness of responsibility in the socialist economy environment has a major role inpushing our work and creating a harmonious social environment. Citizens’consciousness of responsibility is the consciousness that citizens can understandthemselves’ responsibility and practice. It is able to maintain harmonious relationsbetween social members, and is the request of social civilization and the development ofthe socialist market economy. Cultivate and improve the citizen’s consciousness hasimportant significance in improving the social production environment, citizen socialatmosphere, the national economic development and natural environment protection, etc,and is also an important issue in the process of the construction of socialist spiritualcivilization.Guided by the marxism basic principle, this paper uses the contact and developingview to solve problems, with specific methods to analyze problems, mainly using thereference method, data analysis method, example method to discuss. It is divided intofive parts: the first part is the introduction of this paper’s research background andsignificance, research status at home and abroad, research ideas and innovations; thesecond part explains the main concepts; the third part analyzes and compares thesocialist market economy requirements for citizen responsibility consciousness and thestatus of the citizen responsibility consciousness at the present stage respectively, inorder to clear the development direction of our country citizen respons ibilityconsciousness; the fourth part analyzes the existing problems in terms of responsibilityconsciousness; the fifth part puts forward five suggestions to cultivate and promote ourcountry citizen responsibility consciousness.
