The Transnational Economy Control And China's Choice

After World War II,specially since the end of the Cold War, coupled with the profound revolution of information technology and the rapid development of the Internet, the globalization of world economy is developing rapidly. The two parallel world markets have been turned into one unified world market, and the economic interdependence between countries is deepening. That is to say, if one nourishes, all flourish; if one withers, all wither. To ensure common development, all countries coordinate their economic activities. Hence the transnational economy control has been placed on the agendas in all countries. So far, there are relatively few theses discussing the transnational economy control thoroughly and comprehensively and there are a lot of innovative researches that must be engaged in. This thesis focuses on transnational economy control, trying to explore this new scientific field.The thesis starts with the discussion of the macro control within nation-state, pointing out the challenges that economic globalization imposes on it. Then the thesis thoroughly explores the reasons for the transnational economy control. The concept of the transnational economy control is based on these discussions logically. The thesis analyses the system of transnational economy control, its effectiveness and its shortcomings as well. Realizing the challenges the transnational economy control presents to the state sovereignty, the thesis expounds the changes in sovereignty views of the developed countries and the developing countries. In the last part of the thesis, based on China's reality, some suggestions have been brought forth, such as China's orientation of roles, strategy of sovereignty and shift of the governmental functions when the transnational economy control mechanism is accepted.The thesis strives to combine the historical materials with analyses, and theories with realities, and tries to practice the innovation in theory on the basis of reality.
