Sovereignty Theory And Its Realistic Challenge

Theory on sovereignty is production of a certain phase of history, which is changing with the development of the international politics. Theory on Sovereignty has its own limits and encounters various impact from the reality of the international politics. Under the condition of cold war, the developing countries including China should not only sufficiently recognize these challenges, but also be aware that it is important to insist and defense their sovereignty.This dissertation mainly acquaints the related theory on sovereignty from the angle of international politics, resumptively introduces classic sovereignty theory and effective modern theory, retrospects the develop course of them, and draws a conclusion on the basic connotation and character of sovereignty theory. Out of this, it clarifies the history localization of sovereignty and the restrict from the international law on the exertion of sovereignty, analysis the realistic challenges from the aspects of power politics, international organization, modern technology revolution and economic globalization.Finally, according to the development and changes of the international situation, it puts forward its own thought on defense of sovereignty, and holds that the sovereignty will be effectively defensed only if it is partly released on the basis of insisting its unshakable principles.
