A Research On Jiang Zemin's Party Construction Theory And Its Significance In Guiding The Party's Construction Work At Colleges And Universities

The Party Construction is part of the Party's leadership in China's revolution, construction and reform practice; therefore, the Party construction research is closely associated with the Party's different historical tasks in different historical periods. More than 80 years of history of the Communist Party of China shows that the three generations of the central leading groups represented respectively by Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, and Jiang Zemin, in accordance with the Chinese revolution, construction and reform practice, at different historical periods respectively, did profound research in the Party's construction, assiduously strengthened the Parry's construction, and greatly enriched and developed Marxism theory. As a result, Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping and Jiang Zemin's Party construction theories have been gradually established.With China's reform and development reaching their crucial period, such factors as the structure adjustment in economy and production, the changes in social and economic relations, the multi-polarization of the international politics and the globalization of the world economy, all affect the Party construction. The fierce competition in the international economy is in its essence a competition of science and technology, with the competition of talents coming the first. Colleges and universities bear the important tasks of training high-quality talents of science and technology for the building of a strong China and leaders of ability and integrity for the consolidation of the Party in power. The Party construction at colleges and universities makes up an important part of the whole Party Construction, whose special functions show in them the importance of their Party construction work.This paper, based on the author's researches in the Party construction theory put forward by Karl Marx, and those practiced and developed by Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping, analyses the main content and character of Jiang Zemin's Party construction thought and its important contribution to the enrichment of Deng Xiaoping's. After summing up the creative ideas practiced and experience accumulated in the Party construction work at colleges and universities in Anhui Province, the paper discusses the problems newly arisen in the area. It also deals with the guiding principles and method needed for the development of the theory and practice in strengthening the Party construction at institutions of higher education in China by applying Jiang Zemin's Party construction theory. The last but not the least, the paper puts forward some theoretical strategies and practical measures for the enhancement of the Party construction work at colleges and universities, as well as a reference in policy making.
