Productive forces are practical abilities of the human race who use, remake and protect nature to make it suiting the needs of society. They are social material forces which solve contradictory between the human and nature. As representative of liberating and developing productive forces of the Party, Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping and Jiang Zemin inherit and develop Marxist theory of productive forces and form rich and special ideas of productive forces. Comparing their ideas of productive forces and summarizing experience and lesson can provide theoretical thinking and history reference for practice of liberating and developing productive forces.This thesis compares Mao Zedong', Deng Xiaoping' and Jiang Zemin's ideas of productive forces from five aspects. The first aspect is about the importance of developing productive forces. Mao Zedong advances centering attention on developing productive forces after revolution's victory. Deng Xiaoping advances that developing productive forces is socialist essence. Jiang Zemin advances that our Party need all along representing requirement of Chinese advanced productive forces. The second aspect is about developed strategy of productive forces. Mao Zedong advances two step's developed strategy. Deng Xiaoping advances three step's developed strategy. Jiang Zemin advances new three step's developed strategy. The third aspect is about developed motive forces of productive forces. Mao Zedong advances that revolution is the motive forces. Deng Xiaoping advances that reform is the motive forces. Jiang Zemin advances that reform and technology are the motive forces. The forth aspect is about layout of productive forces. Mao Zedong advances balanced layout. Deng Xiaoping advances two general situation ideas. Jiang Zemin advances new balanced layout. The fifth aspect is about criterion of productive forces. Mao Zedong advances that productive forces are criterion to judge policy and practice of political party. Deng Xiaoping advances three beneficial criterions. Jiang Zemin advances three representative criterions.By comparing Mao Zedong', Deng Xiaoping' and Jiang Zemin's ideas of productive forces, we can conclude the following regulars. First, Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping and Jiang Zemin all insist combining theory of Marxist productive forces and Chinese practice. They all insist taking oneself road and energetically developing productive forces. Second, developing productive forces must deal with the relation about respecting objective economic regular and elaborating the dynamic role of the human being. Third, progress of science and technology is the key of the development of productive forces in our country. Forth, ideas of productive forces of the Party must develop unceasingly with the development of socialist enterprise in China.
