This text is with Marx's theory of productive forces as a starting point, with its constantly enrich and develop as the main line. From Marx's Theory of Productive Forces in the new development of contemporary China, this text has demonstrated its great theoretical quality of advancing with the times and, under the guidance of this theory to promote overall development of contemporary China. The full-text includes four parts:The first part is mainly a general discussion about the source of Marx's Theory of Productive Forces (i.e., British and French classical economics thinking on productive forces). Citing the more representative of the three economists, it is including that Quesnay who firstly referred the concept of "productive forces", Smith who held "labor productivity" view and Liszt who owned the independent theory of productive forces. The second part is mainly undertaking a more comprehensive dissertation about Marx's Theory of Productive Forces with a combination of vertical and horizontal methods. On the one hand, vertically, there is a systematic description to the formation and establishment of Marx's Theory of Productive Forces. On the other hand, horizontally, we sum up productive forces categories, which Marx referred originally in different areas, including physical and mental productive forces, social and personal productive forces, labor productive forces, natural productive forces. During the revolution and construction, Mao Zedong highlighted the importance of liberating and developing productive forces thinking, combined with social reality, to explore some important laws conducive to the development of social productive forces. Deng Xiaoping carried forward and developed the thought of Mao Zedong about the liberation and development of productive forces, mainly in that he put it up to the historical height of the socialist nature, and proposed the "Science and technology are primary productive forces" scientific thesis. Advanced theory of productive forces with "advanced" demonstrated productivity features of the times (that is science and technology as advanced signs, sustainable development as advanced concepts), in revealing its rich meaning, demonstrated accuracy and science about technology and education strategies and sustainable development strategies etc. development means of advanced productive forces. New view of productive forces' Development proposed by our Party in new era puts "people oriented" as the fundamental starting point and ultimate goal, in the search for a comprehensive, coordinated and sustainable development of productive forces, will take Marxist Theory of Productive Forces into a high degree. The fourth part is my thinking of Marx's Theory of Productive Forces. Through the overview of the academic research status quo about Marx's Theory of Productive Forces, I summarize its development trend, find its problems and put forward some personal opinions.
