With the increment of scale in the road construction, the affairs that road industry must confront are altering sharply and getting more and more complicated. When building the application of distributed E-administration System based on Internet/ Intranet, the enterprises face the problem that the hardware equipment the software system network environments and databases are very deferent. It is urged to design a completed technological methodology to satisfy the demand of integrating different development environment and increasing the feasibility and security. COM+, COBRA, J2EE, as the current mainly distributed object technology, can completely meet this demand and become the first methodology choosed.Depending on the example of road works gauge and payment system and UML, the thesis analyzes designs and plans this system and expresses the rights and responsibility of the constructors-quantity surveyor supervisor and owner. In the end, COM+, COBRA, and J2EE accomplish this system. During how to realize the system, it introduces how to design the framework and the component of the system. On the other hand, it compares simply them and gives a suitable methodology.In according to the research on the Application of Road Works Gauge and Payment System Based on Distributed Object Technology, this thesis introduces some proposals and measures that can guide the progress of the technology on MIS of road industry. It also improves some methods on UML, for example, the improved descriptions of multilayer use case model and analysis model based on responsibility. Otherwise, it analyses emphatically the distributed system framework based on COM+, COBRA, J2EE and how to decide the transaction and realize the security of component. By doing these, it can be referenced not only by road industry but also by other ones.
