With the quick development of economical integration and globalization, goods producing have the characteristics of globalization day by day. Under such situation, it's not easy to decide the origin of one goods. At the same time, because of lacking of united rules of origin internationally, some countries use rules of origin to carry on trade protectionism. The problem of original regulars are no longer a pure "technique problem" but a "policy problem" behind which there are enormous economical benefits.At the age that our country is further integrated with world economy, how to utilize original regulars promoting our economy and foreign trade has become a hot issue in China's academic field. At present, studies about rules' of origin effect on international trade are relatively few. With the theoretic tools of international economics and international trade, this paper tries to demonstrate the effects that rules of origin take on such fields. By analyzing the insufficiency of China's current original regulars, this paper, therefore, puts forward some suggestion.There are 4 chapters in this paper. At first describes the studying methods and goals. In Chapter One, the effects of rules of origin on international trade are analyzed. Chapter Two examine the effects that general rules of origin take on international trade, Chapter Three examine the effects that rules of origin take on GSP and regional integration. According to the state of rules of origin inChina, Chapter Four brings forth some ideas.As the standard of examining goods' nationality, rules of origin are taking great effects on all aspects of international trade. Reasonably and effectively using rules of origin is a task that we carry out WTO contract. It will promote our economy greatly.
