Perspective Of Economics Regarding The Copyright System

The basic purpose of the Copyright law is to inspirit brains production, promote flourishment of the literature, art and science. For attaining this purpose, the development of the copyright system is according with the development of the economy. Recently, Copyright industry and its great economic value has become an important topic concerned by theoretical circles as well as practical branches.In fact, it is helpful to understand the nature and orderliness to probe into the doctrine of economics of copyright system, so as to make effective reference to making efficient copyright law. About this problem, the western scholars is study more than ours, then some scholars in China begin to study it. In the research achievements of the copyright system, different research angles lead to different research directions; different subject standards lead to different visual angles; and different economic principles leads to different research results. In this dissertation, the author tends to expound the guiding role of doctrine of economics in the construction of copyright system by aid of the means of legal economics.This dissertation is divided into three parts to analyze the economic meaning in copyright system. Namely, analysis of economics in copyright system, analysis of economics in the structure of copyright system, and the one in copyright system of collective administration. This dissertation, based on such economic theory as benefits, costs and social welfare, analyzes the economic meaning to establish copyright system, and concludes that, copyrightsystem matches the doctrine of economic benefits and there exists vital economic justification in the protection of the interests of authors, users of works and social public. This dissertation provides foundations of economics for the justification of copyright system, and consequently the theoretical clues in economics for the upgrading of the Chinese copyright system.
