A Study On The Systematic Characteristics And Configuration Of Thirty-six Stratagems And Its Stratagemical Thoughts

Thirty-six Stratagems plays an important role in the Chinese wisdom of management and also stands out as a comparative advantage against global competition. The thesis focuses on the essence of Thirty-six Strategies, which is carefully analyzed from three angles, and whose values in decision-making are appreciated as well. Some methods of qualitative research are employed in the study, e.g. literature research, induction, and deduction, etc.The five systematic characteristics of Thirty-six Strategies are discussed in the first part, and they are persistent thoughts, simple wording, integrated modules, open system, and applied orientation.The research on the systematic configuration of Thirty-six Strategies, the second part, extends from two respects, one roots in its macro-configuration and the other in the micro-configuration. And some interesting conclusions are made about the macro-configuration, like the six-character principles, the macro-configuration based on the competitive results and the comparison of respective forces. Also, some other findings are revealed of the micro-configuration. For instance, the subject, environment, guidelines, and means of thirty-six stratagems are integrated into a configuration finished. It is concluded that the macro-configuration of Thirty-six Strategies and its micro-configuration match quite well.In the third part, also on the Stratagemical thoughts, the focus is put upon the problem-solving of stratagems. The most attractive conclusions, here, are those models peeled off from various stratagems, and other points related are concluded, too, esp. the nine principles of Stratagemical thoughts and the systematic orientation of theStratagemical system with Chinese characteristics.And the thesis is ended with the discussion about the contribution of thirty-six stratagems to Chinese Enterprises' decision-making with three cases.
