The model of investigation that is currently employed by China in dealing with anti-corruption cases is still largely dependant on a mode of confession as the mainstay and then evidence, this method is in need of transformation. This paper surveys the history, origin and development of the investigation model of anti-corruption and conducts systematic analysis and description of the present situation of the anti-corruption investigation model as it relates to the law and the background factors of the investigation model that is presently utilized as well as the necessity to transform the present model in addition to putting forward solutions and measures to transform the investigation model. This article deems that the following five aspects should be employed to advocate the transformation of the model to be one which relies on evidence first and then confession:(1)Changing the emphasis of the criminal procedure;(2)Enactment of a comprehensive set of laws and regulations concerning investigation;(3)Changing the current methods of anti-corruption investigations;(4)Have effective restrictions on the execution authority of anti-corruption investigations;(5)Put forward great efforts in raising the all-around capabilities of the anti-corruption investigative personnel and employing scientific and technological methods in carrying out the investigations.
