Research Of Inventory Optimization In Supply Chain Management

One of most costly aspects of supply chains is the management of inventory. The importance of inventory management and the need for the coordination of inventory decisions has been evident for long time.This thesis mostly studies optimization of inventory system in supply chain management. Inventory system is complex system. Its optimization not only includes Operational Research, but also has relation with economy, management and society environment. The thesis chose optimization theory as study aspect .The frame of the thesis as follows.The first chapter simply discussed inventory optimization theory, and modified faults of original model.In second chapter, it analyzed amply origin of inventory hazard in traditional supply chain. It expounded bullwhip effect in supply chain. Result was given that redundant stock could not be erased in traditional supply chain. This part was ready for the later inventory optimization in supply chain.To the start of chapter three, Supply Chain Management (SCM) was expounded. It concluded problems we should notice when using SCM. The second part brought forward problems in inventory optimization in SCM.The 4th &5th chapter were important contents of the thesis. It studied inventory optimization in SCM. In possession of three chapters discussion, it studied inventory optimization in SCM from two aspects: collaboration-harmony, holistic optimization. It wielded system theory, multi-echelon inventory theory.
