With the competition of international market incessantly aggravating, it's more complicated the situationthat the enterprises faced. In order to have an advantage in the competition, many state governments, institution for scientific research and enterprises pay more attention to 'logistics management' and 'supplychain management'. They attach more importance to scout for and make use of 'the third profit source'. Thecoordination of all sectors and the improvement of the whole performance are the main characters of modern logistics, they focus on the single sector only. For these reasons, this dissertation integrates two principal problems named the Inventory Control problem and the Transportation Organization problem into one problem, and then seeks the optimal solution of this combined problem instead of each single problem. From these points of view, the paper addresses the optimal solution of the integrated problem about the inventory controland the optimization of transportation routing problem but not its one aspect in the distribution logisticssystem. This paper studies the integrated inventory-transportation problem systematically, with simultaneousdecisions made on inventory and transportation policies in the grade-2 supply chain. Firstly, we traced the priortheories of the Inventory and Transportation Integrated Optimization and summarize the research situation, we addressed a simple model about complex distribution logistics system problem as cement in multi-gradations supply chain. It is a problem in grade-2 supply chain. Secondly, it is the crux of this kind of matter to solve inventory and transportation. The problem of the Inventory and Transportation Integrated Optimizationaddresses the point of systemization and integration. It regards inventory and transportation as whole and balances both the transportation and inventory to satisfy demand by the minimal total cost. Thirdly, on thebasis of the literatures and practical surveys, we developed a mathematical model, draw a conclusion by using separate calculations for inventory and transportation decisions, then coordinating them appropriately. Finally, taking QiXin Company as an example, we discussed how to apply it to practice. It's significant for manager'sto make scientific and reasonable decision.
