Land is the most essential resource and space that human beings live on, and has unsubstitutable functions compared with other resources, which is under serious consideration by governments and people all around the world. The projects affected persons have indiscerptible relations with the land. The constructions-occupied land brings about the project affected persons. And the relocation of the affected persons requires land for their production and living. Land is the carrier of the project affected persons. Thus land consolidation in the resettlement is an important approach to retrench and make full use of the land resources, and to relocate the affected persons appropriately.This thesis firstly demonstrates its main contents based on a summary of the development process and research status quo of the land consolidation both domestic and abroad. Secondly, it proceeds from the contemporary land systems and resettlement policies, to the analysis of difficulties in the projects resettlement, and considers that land is of extreme importance in the resettlement, thus indicates that land consolidation is the necessary choice in the resettlement. Thirdly, based on the analysis of research achievements on land consolidation home and abroad, it induces and summarizes systemically the processes, contents and modes in the land consolidation of projects affected persons. Fourthly, the property rights adjustment of land is the key content of land consolidation in the projects affected resettlement. Therefore this thesis clarifies the objects and principles in the property rights adjustment of land consolidation in the projects affected persons, and deeply studies the land distribution modes and property rights transition in the projects affected persons. Finally, it summarizes the whole article and gives relevant suggestions.
