On Non-traditional Security And China's Corresponding Strategy

Security is a basic concept in the international politics and it also an essential value that human-being has been pursuing in their activities. As an eternal task, national security is the premise and basis for the survival and development of a country. Before the Cold War, military security is perpetually the most important security subject, and traditional security stands in the extremely prior status. After the Cold War, peace and development became tendency of the day, but the international society is still unquiet, especially since the midterm of 1990s, the increasing elements that threaten national security have been influencing on the world immensely. Traditional security view cannot explain why the human-being is still facing various threats, so, the research on national security is not simply restricted to the fields of military, politics and diplomacy affairs, The non-traditional security issues such as economy, environment, information, transnational crime, drug trade, terrorism, smuggle, Spreading illness, which are connected with national security has become the hot spot, under this background, this thesis chooses the non-traditional security as the object to discuss so as to state the main issues of non-traditional security existing in China. On the basis of preceding achievement by the senior and find out the strategy to cope with the issues of non-traditional security for our country's security.This thesis has four sections:Section one: analysis of the issues of non-traditional security. Firstly, according to the concept of security, comb the security theory on the international relation from the west scholars. This paper is to make sure their shortcomings. Secondly, through analyzing the reality of the world at present, make clear the difference and relation between the concepts of traditional security and non-traditional security so as to get the initial boundary of non-traditional security.Section two: main types of non-traditional security and its influences on the international relation. First, types of non-traditional security. In accordance with themain elements that threaten the security of each country. This analysis is concerned with aspects of economic, environment, information, transnational crime, spreading illness etc. Second, the influences non-traditional security has on the international relation. This thesis states it from four aspects: urge a lot of countries to adjust their security strategy; bring about the multiplicity of the contemporary subjects of international relation behavior; bring the new topic for the relations between countries, make state sovereignty face challenge.Section three: Analysis the status quo, chance and challenge that our country confronts about the issues of non-traditional security from economic security including finance, energy, environmental security, information security, transnational crime and contagious illness, and so on.Section four: the standpoint we should hold and emergency strategy we should adopt about the non-traditional security in China. There are also four sections. Above all, we must maintain the new viewpoint of country security which is about new security and its enforcement in the field of diplomacy in China. Second, we must develop economy concentrative to promote the over-all strength and defend national economic security. Third, we should construct our own crisis administration system with the help of the corresponding methods employed by developed countries. At the end, in accordance with the principles of quality, mutual benefit, mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, we should reinforce the cooperation with other countries and international organizations in the field of non-traditional security in various ways.
