Job Evaluation is the formal process by which the relative worth of various jobs in the organization is determined for pay purposes. It's to evaluate the relative value of each position in a company via scientific methods. Then we can determine the structure and level of the payment of each employee reasonably according to the situation of payment level on workforce market. Factor-grading method is the one which has been used the most extensively. The core of factor-grading method lies in the set of weight of each factor. The weight of a factor indicates the importance of each factor in a factor system. In this thesis , a comparison has been made between analytical hierarchy process and a brand new process called method to deside which one could be better used in weight-determining for the factors in an index system.By using the method in the process of the job evaluation of one HRM project (HRM regulation project of Baoding co-generation power plant), we find that it could be well used in the factor-grading method of job analysis.
