Theoretically based on welfare economics, institutional arrangement and sustainable development concerned with agriculture subsidy, the disquisition studies the background and motivation of the U.S. agriculture subsidy system reform since 1990's and concludes it to be the result of both political and economical factors. In the comparison with the former agriculture subsidy system, the objects and the contents are analyzed to facilitate the discussion of the effects of the reform. At last, the research focuses on the experiences of the U.S agriculture subsidy system reform, based on Chinese practices and aiming at some contributions to domestic and practical policy construction.The disquisition is divided into four chapters.The first chapter summarizes the historical facts of the U.S. agriculture subsidy, analyzes the reasons of the U.S. agriculture subsidy system reform since 1990's, discusses the theories under the changes and make the preparation for the subsequent research.The second chapter puts forward the objects and the framework of the U.S. agriculture subsidy system, and in the comparison between the current policies and the former one, discusses the mechanism by which the agriculture subsidy system reform to reach the destination.The third chapter analyzes the impacts of the U.S agriculture subsidy system reform and follows the great changes of the subsidy policies in the beginning years of new century to lead to projections that where the U.S. agriculture subsidy system will go.The last chapter concentrates on the detailed, practical agriculture subsidy policies of China and suggests a framework of domestic agriculture support with advisable measures.
