The Marketing is a course whose fulfillment is very strong, for this reason marketing academic theories theory should with combine together physically. The our country railroad heads for the market, developing the exhibition marketing strategy was very late, it is in the inferior position compared with other transportation method in the aspects of marketing. With the socialism market economy system has been established, the competition of the passenger and freight transportation in transportation industry is gradually serious. Under the principle of fair high efficient, how the every kind of transportation method adapts to the market needs, fighting for the larger market quota, which have become to an important problem for the traffic and transportation enterprises. Therefore, it is necessary to innovate the railway marketing strategy in many aspects.Firstly, this paper analyzed the situation of the railroad transportation enterprises facing many difficulties now, introducing the marketing theories of railway transportation markets. Then the author made the theories contacted the practices, considering the own characteristics in marketing of railway transportation, and analyzed the passenger and freight transportation markets in detail. The most important question is that the paper researched in the railway marketing strategy, including the orientation of the passenger and freight transportation products, the price strategy and how to put the marketing strategies into practice etc. Finally, the paper joined together the circumstance of the Jixi railway station, clarified how to make use of the marketing theories into the railway basic station and segment.This paper made use of the theoretical research in marketing of railway passenger and freight transportation, which is very important to the marketing of the railway bureau, basic station and segment of railway.
