Research On Transnational Strategies Of Chinese Petroleum Corporations

In order to gain country safety and sustainable development, Chinese petroleum corporations have to engage in international business after becoming a pure oil-import country.The theories of international business are the Theory of International Production Eclecticism and other theories.Transnational strategies of Chinese petroleum corporations consist of import strategy, production strategy, export strategy and the selection of investment place.As for import strategy, we put emphasis on the structure adjustment of oil-import. The most important area is Middle Asia-Russia. Export strategy is in question of EPC engineering. Production strategy is how to reduce cost while refining.As to the selection of investment place, we should research the concentration of petroleum and natural gas, political system, economy system, oil taxation system. Feasibility research is essential.About investment place, there are three strategic areas. They are Middle Asia-Russia, Middle East-Northern Africa and Southern America. Concentration or diversification is selected in each area accordingly.
