Research On The Foundation And Perfection Of The Corporate Governance Of State-Owned Commercial Banks

Nowadays, the reform of the state-owned commercial banks is now a great job in the economic reform in china. To set up fine corporate governance, to promote steady management and good development, and to improve the general competitive ability are the core points in the reform. It is urgent and of important theoretic and practical sense, therefore to study the actual situation that the state-owned commercial banks are now facing, investigate the issues on corporate governance, use successful experience from abroad for reference, and find suitable corporate governance for Chinese banks.The article is based on the theory of Banking, Finance, Institutional Economics and Modern Western Economics etc., to have a research on the corporate governance of state-owned commercial banks by the method of studying criterions and actual examples.Firstly, the article gives the general idea of the theory about corporate governance inland and abroad. Whereafter the author compares the governance of banks inland and abroad and that of state-owned banks nowadays and before to give an analysis. The author also points out the instinct characteristics that the state-owned banks have as high-risk enterprises differing from normal enterprises. The author further gives some relative suggestions on foundation and perfection of the corporate governance of state-owned commercial banks on the basis of good absorption of foreign banks' experiences and comprehensive estimation on the state-owned commercial banks in china.
