Standards provide a yardstick for evaluating product quality and play a pivotal role in information exchange and in achieving harmony and in policy practice. In order to achieve an effective house property geoinformation sharing across cities or city departments and to ensure GIS compatible, a perfect standard system of house property geoinformation must be created by making a study of house property GIS and its relative standards.Starting with the operation of house property management and condition of house property management informalization , this thesis expatiates on the great significance of house property geoinformation standardization to data sharing and GIS system construction, and probe into the connotation of standard system of house property geoinformation, its establishing principle and methods are also discussed. The standard system presented here comprises basic standards, specialized standards and relative standards, it totals to 181 standards projects. The basic projects are 34, the specialized projects are 11 and the relative projects are 146.Classifying and coding house property geoinformation is the most important work in house property geoinformation standardization. How to classify house property geoingformation is studied based on analysis of the main content of geoinformation. The house property management model is established and a coding scheme is put forward.House property geoinformation positioning and data quality is also the important part in standardization. According to the characteristics of house property management, selection of spatial reference system and data quality evaluating and control are briefly stated in the thesis.
