Study On WWTP Project Procurement Tendering Quotation

This thesis is a systematic study on the complete procedure of Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) procurement tendering quotation, with contractors' tendering activities as the background and also with reference to relative theories. It demonstrates the proper procedures and rules. As tender invitation becomes the tendency for WWTP construction projects service delivery, the specific and practical outputs will be of some value to help enterprises in scientific tendering. The author adheres to the principle of combining theories with practices. She went through all the tender invitation documents, bidding documents and other materials related to the tender projects she was involved in recent years. She also had personal interviews with the project managers and staff involved and gained much valuable information, which was not only the base of the study, but the tool to calibrate the outputs. The author has also referred to substantial documentations regarding bidding and tendering, both domestic and abroad. The outputs cover: 1) making the complete tendering process more standard, systematic and formal by combining relative theories and actual tendering practices; 2) summarizing and theorizing the tendering quotation techniques backed by several cases experienced by the author, and optimizing the tendering quotation methods.
