Chiefly the great change of contemporary society can be attributed to the progress of science and technology. As a relatively independent discipline level between fundamental science and engineering technology, technological sciences are the bridges from science to production, the laches that links fundamental research and application development, and the main discipline bases of modern engineering technology education. They play a key role among the cause and effect chain of "fundamental science-engineering technology-production-ecbnomy". As a sub-task of "Study on category defining, history division and development mode of technological sciences" which is sponsored by National Social Science Fund and presided over by Professor Qihua LIU, this dissertation adopts methods like comparison study, history reviewing, statistical computing and scientific abstracting to deeply study the relativity between the development of technological sciences and the evolution of industry structure in order to reveal the law of their interaction. It not only has much meaning for predicting the trends of industry, science and technology, but also is helpful for drawing up and adjusting the development strategies of science, technology and industry, innovating higher engineering education system.Firstly, I compare the time series curve of total technological sciences drawn by our team with the long wave curve drawn by Rainer Metz. Uniformity in periods and nesting in peak value found in the comparison primarily reveal the relativity between technological sciences and industry structure from the phenomenon.Secondly, sort technological sciences disciplines into corresponding long wave period according to their generation time; sort the disciplines generated during each long wave period into corresponding industries according to their applying area; compare the result gotten by the sorting with the leading industry groups during all previous long waves; After analyzing the statistical data educed from the comparison above, we find out there is relativity (including direct relativity and indirect relativity) beyond 90% between new disciplines of technological sciences and the leadingindustry group in the corresponding period. The relativity between technological sciences and industry structure is further validated through statistical method.Then, clarify the industry background of the generation of technological sciences during each long wave in order to prove their relativity in essence.Finally, we find out the evolution of industry structure during each latter-day period has direct relevancy of 'effect-cause' with technological sciences disciplines generated in the same period.Based on the study mentioned above, I forecast the future development of technological sciences and industries.
