Study On The Rural Urbanization Evaluation Index System Of Southwest China

Urbanization plays an important aspect of reality of the fairly comfortable life of China. Because of the policies of reformation and opening, China has gained a great deal of achievements in the course of urbanization. While in another hand, many problems have emerged. Since1990s, numbers of problems we confront, such as rural surplus labor, disadvantaged groups and rural lands, relate to the urbanization directly or indirectly. Undoubtedly, accelerating the progress of urbanization is an important development strategy, however in the country, this progress usually accompany with blindness and uncontrol due to the lack of efficient evaluation index system. It's necessary to work out a reasonable evaluation index system for the healthy and harmonious development of the urbanization and national economy.This article builds up an integrated and scientific evaluation index system after deep researches and making comparisons among relevant theories. This system gives consideration to the comprehensiveness of index system and feasibility of practice. It keeps reasonable elements of theories in existence and adds elements of disadvantaged groups from the point of humanism, which is of great creative and directive function. All these not only remedy the defects of theories in existence, but also act as a guidance of urbanization S.W. China much more scientifically and effectively.According to the index system, the article makes a demonstration study by the theory of AHP. By the demonstration study, the article outlines the urbanization levels of S.W. China. This can serve as a reference in the course of urbanization, and then think over the way of urbanization. Besides, in the calculation model of AHP, the article makes use of computer instead of calculating by hand, and builds up a calculation system based on the Microsoft Excel. This calculation system is simple, precise, efficient and open.This article combines the basic theories and the practice of urbanization of S.W. China, and bases on the facts of the region. In the design of index system, the paper considers the requirements of scientificalness, comprehensiveness, rationality and feasibility of the index system, which aims at serving as an evaluation and control guidance of urbanization. The research follows the route of integration of theory with practice, combines the qualitative study and quantitative analysis, and synthesizes the relevant knowledge, attains the goals and achieves gratifying successes.
