Study On Construction And Installation Cost Management In Engineering Projects

In the engineering and construction field, implementation of project management is of great importance to improvement of engineering quality, assurance of time limit for project and cost saving. Cost management in engineering projects is one of main content, construction and installation costs in engineering projects are more than half of total costs and also the most active part of engineering construction costs. Through describing the current conditions and existing main problems in construction engineering cost management, it is showed clearly that domestic engineering cost management is far from mature, application of scientific management methods in cost management is still in primary stage, This article will make efforts in application of modern management theory and method to construction engineering cost management and ensure that project objects are carried out with most reasonable costs.Based on the above-mentioned problems, choosing project management theory and method, technical and economic analysis method and value engineering method, analyzed are key links in engineering construction. This study shows that this qualitative and quantitative analysis method is fully suitable for construction engineering cost management.Through theory associated with practice, made is a demonstration study on the specific implementation scheme of cost management in construction project in the Shuangliu campus of Southwest University for Nationalities. Standing in the shoes of the Owner, analyzed is in detail C&I (construction and installation) cost control in key links duringentire project, including design, bidding, construction and check & acceptance stages, emphasized is the cost control and initiative control in design stage and the viewpoint is put forward that whole process cost management shall be strengthened.
