The purpose of this paper is to put forward competitive strategies for Beijing Pangol optical techonoly company limited (hereafter called Beijing Pangol), using Fred R. David's Comprehensive Strategic Management Model and Michael E. Porter's Five-force Model for industry analysis.Established in 2004, Beijing Pangol specialized in manufacturing of recordable optical media, has set up its strategy goal of becoming the leading company in China within 3 years and the leading company in the world in 5 to 6 years based on its resources.The competition environment of Beijing Pangol was identified using Michael E. Porter's Five-force Model, and the competitive capability of Beijing Pangol was evaluated with SWOT strategic analysis model. Cost Leadership Strategy and Target Market Focus Strategy were proposed for Beijing Pangol based on its competitive advantages. To perform the Cost Leadership Strategy, the following means must be done:(l) purchasing high efficiency equipments to reduce depreciation; (2) cooperated with competitive raw material suppliers; (3) integrating out resources to set up a strategy alliance; (4) establishing a economic scale of production; (5) promoting the yield of equipments; (6) improving management system to achieve a high qualified rate of products and reduce wasters. The means to perform the Target Market Focus Strategy should include: finding the suitable customers in the target market in the globe market, and cooperating with the hardware manufactuers to handle the disc and focusing on the special endusers in the domestic market based on the different service policies.
