Theory Discussion And Strategic Proposition On The Development Of Chinese Trans-corporations

The tendency of globalization becomes stronger along with the coming of the 21thcentury. Globalization has formed a new economic structure in which TransnationalCorporations (TNCs) are playing the most important role. TNCs stand for the developingdirection of modern business, and the total number of TNCs in a nation has reflects itsinternational competency. Listed on top of biggest TNCs are those from the US, Japan, andEuropean nations. The absolute influence and competitive edges of TNCs from advancedcountries have posed a question for both economists and entrepreneurs to answer: whether isit viable for a developing country to develop its own multinationals? However,in contrastwith the companies that are listed in world's top 500,Chinese TNCs are confronted with thedisadvantages of small scale,backward management and quite limited investment on R&D. Inaddition, lots of prob1ems are still on the way to beso1ved. All in all, developing our TNCs isespecially inevitable with an aim to enhance the national competency and corporation growth. In view of this, this thesis uses such many kinds of analytical methods as the comprehensiveanalysis of the history and reality, empirical study, and the comparative analysis, and analyses thehistory, current situation and problems of our TNCs, and proposes the concrete strategy on thedevelopment of Chinese TNCs on this basis. Chapter one introduces the development state of the Chinese TNCs. First of all, thetrans-corporation, Chinese trans-corporation and other relevant concepts are described anddefined; Then, this thesis reviews the development of the our TNCs. Finally, it analyses thequestions existing in our TNCs ' development. Chapter two carries on the theory discussion of TNCs. (1) Sum up trans-corporation'stheory; (2) Expound the directive significance of the relevant theories for the development ofour TNCs. Chapter three puts forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions from twoaspects of governments and enterprises: (1) The government should strengthen macroscopicenvironmental construction and macroscopic service function; (2) The development direction ofour TNCs should be value-type TNCs, and we should carry on such strategies as customer'svalue, strategic network, green manage and knowledge innovation strategy to structure ourvalue-type TNCs.
