Analysis To The Development Of Babcock & Wilcox Beijing Company

In 1986, Sino-US joint venture - Babcock & Wilcox Beijing Company (Abbreviation: BWBC) was established. As the newcomer in the power generating boiler market in China, BWBC has made great achievements in the field though confined by the non-market factors existed at that time. BWBC has survived difficulties in the past decades and now it is the fourth largest power generating boiler manufacturer in China.In the report, the development process of BWBC is described and analyzed. Experience which contributes to its success is summarized. The influence of the government policy on power generating boiler industry and enterprise is also analyzed in the report.At present, the demand for high capacity power generating boiler is very high, and market condition improved is pretty good. In the meantime, the industry in developed countries is going down. At such condition, I give some personal advice to BWBC to enhance its sustainable development: exploit the advantage of the brand and technology, expand the market share; diversify and internationalize; set up R&D gradually.
