The electric power industry has being experiencing a global reconstruction- to introduce competition mechanism and develop power market. Transmission network, which serves as the connection between the generation-side market and demand-side market, calls for a fair competing circumstances, in which price plays the dominant role as the fulcrum of power market. The price for transmission has become one of the hottest and toughest issue in the research of power market. The thesis first introduces the definition, fundamental operation criterion and mode of power market, discusses the developing condition of power market, and, based upon the analysis of the characteristic and the formation of wheeling, puts forward the importance of transmission pricing. When come to the question of transmission pricing, we view it as a two-level issue: the upper level is to determine the transmission price of a certain line on the basis of cost analysis; the lower level is to allocate the transmission line price to end-users/generators fairly and quickly. To the lower level, various methods of allocating line price are introduced. Furthermore a new method called bus-mixed average method has been proposed in this paper. A comparison and analysis on these methods are presented to prove that bus-mixed average method is more simple and efficient than the flow tracking allocating method. Then the paper aim at the problem of loss cost allocation, puts forward a computing model based upon the Loss Coefficient Method and analyses the computing case. This method can lead end-users/generators adjusting their load/quantity to decrease the loss.On the hand of emphasize on the research of the fee for network congestion, the paper firstly a review on the transaction mode of power market and the measures for managing congestion is presented. And then, premised upon the pool model, a unit cost curve based OPF and a case study with data on computing the congestion cost are provided. Finally a marginal cost based pricing model for transmission is put forward, besides, the loss and congestion of network are taken into account. And a case analysis is presented as well. Finally we makes a conclusion to the thesis and points out the possible problems and directions for further research.
