The Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) is one of high accurate measuring equipment with high efficiency. It can be used for 3 dimension measurement to realize on line inspection and automatic measurement quickly and conveniently. Now It's widely used in machinery, Electrics, Automobile, Aviation&Aerospace, Military, Mould&Die industry. As one high profitable products the competition is growing fury, in order to acquire the competition advantages and high market share, the sales forecast is very necessary. The destination of the project is using the basic principle of sales forecast, to study the application of the forecast in the process of sales and production. The main research work in this paper is as following, Firstly, the application in the process of sales, which including 5 points: the collection and analysis of the marketing information; the forecast on market demand and sales target; the decision-making for market share, how to set up the sales target, how to disassemble the sales target. 2 types method of the quantitative, the geometry average method and line trend method to be used in this paper, the value and unit of market demand and sales target of the coordinate machine were to be calculated. also the sales funnel tool was introduced to do forecast in practice in this paper. It's clearly to illuminated how to forecast the market demand and sales target in qualitative by using composites of sales force opinion, estimate of executive and expert opinion. Secondly, the application in the process of production, which including 3 points, how to set down production plan based on sales forecast, how to evaluate the accuracy of forecast and how to eliminate the forecast error. 5-year experience indicated, the forecast error is less than 16% by using the method of quantitative and qualitative in common, the average error of forecast in production every month can reduce to 20% ~ 30%. The forecast result is quite good.
