The Index Calculation And Analysis Of Import And Export On China's Agricultural Products

Index is a relative number that indicates the dynamic of social economic phenomenon , and using index can determine the total trends of social economic phenomenon that can't be summed and compared with directly; price index is an another which reflects commodity price level in different periods or different regions. According to types of commodity, it can be divided into goods price index of an individual event , the classification price index of the goods and total index. Our country is a big country in the imports and exports of agricultural products , which is important issue related to the national economy and the people's livelihood of our country. Price index of the imports and exports of agricultural products plays a decisive role in weighing the terms of trade of imports and exports of agricultural products, meanwhile, it has very important position and function in the agricultural economic management. So it is significant to establish the system of price index of imports and exports of agricultural products in our country.The author of this text fully and accurately collects it on the foundation of the imports and exports data of agricultural product of our country during 1992 - 12 years of 2003 all-sidedly and accurately, utilize SAS software platform to form the exit database of agricultural products . Through researching calculation of such traditional index as Laspeyres, Passche and Fisher Index, I creatively advance the formula of optimizing price Index, and at the same time test and analyze the accurate of it . According to fore-and two-number articles in HS and trade nations , I calculate the price index, physical index and value index of agricultural products of our country during eleven years from 1993 to 2003, using the formula of optimizing price index.On the basis of calculating index, this paper has carried on primary analysis about calculating the result of the characteristic of imports and exports of agricultural products and agricultural product index, founding the relation between the amount of imports and exports of some agricultural products and the price. At the same time ,the paper analyzes the terms of trade of agricultural product of our country and researches the depravation the terms of trade using the index calculating result, and as a result, puts forward correlative measures and suggests.
