Franchising has got a fast development since 1880s in the world, in China, Franchising is just in the elementary stage. Currently, both domestic and overseas academia is lack in the research about how the Chinese enterprises develop overseas Franchising. Therefore, this thesis will focus on this field. Above all, this thesis will elucidate the concept and types of Franchising and then demonstrate that Franchising is one kind of foreign direct investment mode. On basis of those, this thesis discusses the great significance and the feasibility of Chinese enterprises' developing overseas Franchising. Accordingly, this thesis will provide a new choice for Chinese enterprises to develop foreign direct investment.
