| Since the founding of our People's Republic, the industrial value-added output and it's productivity of Chinese construction industry have been steadily improving, but the basic problems such as low profit, low efficient of Chinese construction industry didn't smooth away radically. To settle these problems, this paper based on the thinking of this article spread service field and increase the additional value of construction project, firstly studies concept of construction industry and concludes that we should explore the space of value-added output, through the broad construction industry. Based on these, the life cycle of engineering project can be divided into the value planning, the value form, the value fulfillment and the value disappearance. Then, using the theories of the value chain and the supply chain for reference, this article defines "engineering value chain". The aim of the analyses is to remove all the factors that can't add the value of a project and the important aim is to explore the developing part of the increasing value.According to the analytic result of the engineering value chain which is composed by the value of engineering itself,the developing value of engineering function, the additional value of construction industry, its dynamic equilibrium is studied to seek the greatest additional value. At the same time, the different enterprises of construction industry altogether cooperate to complete the developing part of the value chain. So this article builds the enterprise structure of construction industry which is composed by the cycle of the fluctuation of engineering values the construction products the service of construction. Linking up with the current state of the Chinese construction industry, the conclusion of the research is to weak the bounds of production, to stand out the business type and to run through the life cycle of engineering project. Only in this way, can the additional value of construction industry be increased largely.
