| As a bridge between globalism and nationalism, regionalism has been drawn more and more attention in the field of current international politics by all nations. Regional cooperation directed by regionalism has developed rapidly in Asia. China has been adhered to good-neighborhood policy in its neighboring diplomacy, however, its specific directing concept has been different during different periods. Since the end of the Cold War, China has developed regional cooperation actively in order to realize its strategy of great power and goal of development. In so doing, China has established the basis for the combination of regionalism and china's neighboring diplomacy. As a new concept for China's neighboring diplomacy, regionalism, which has a theoretical basis, has been gradually proved by practice. The construction of Asia's regionalism is yet faced with a lot of difficulties, however, we believe that the goal of security and common prosperity will be realized eventually with efforts of all sides, and that China will surely benefit from it. The content of the article includes four parts: Part One systemically introduces the source,meaning,value analysis of regionalism, and it also introduces developing status of regionalism in Asia. Part Two emphatically discusses regionalism's important sense in developing the relations between China and its neighboring countries, and realizing our development goal during the period of strategic opportunity. Part Three mainly introduces the combination of China's neighboring diplomacy and regionalism, and the accomplishments our nation has achieved directed by the regionalism since the end of the cold war. Part Four illustrates the difficulties China will be faced with when it constructs regionalism with its neighboring countries, especially in the sphere of the whole Asia. While, it also points out the process China should make in its neighboring diplomacy, to realize the function of regionalism. |
