During cadre education practice, Mao Tsetung obtained a series of science thought and viewpoints based on Marxist-Leninism cadre education thought, and built a complete set of CPC's cadre education system with distinct Chinese characteristics. In the new historical conditions, the deep and systemic investigation and research on it will be of great practical guiding significance for the ideological and theoretical construction of the party, for building Marxist learning party, for improving Marxism theory level in the party and keeping the advance of the party. This paper uses literature research method, historical analysis, unity of history and logic method and unity of theory and practice method. It studies comprehensively on theoretical sources of Mao Tsetung's cadre education thought, and clearly divides this thought's process and achievements in its historical development, and epurates this thought's essential contents and the development of this thought in the new period. It also explores this thought's contemporary values systematically form three aspects.
