The Investigation On The Oldest Old Of Country In China

The situation of China's aging population is grim. In 2015, the population aged 60 or older in China will reach 216 million, accounting for 16.7% of the total population. The aging of our oldest old further accelerate, by 2015,more than 80 years old will reach 24 million, accounting for 11.1% of the elderly population, the average annual net increase of population is 100 million,which grows faster than the speed of population aging in China. Affected by the long-term historical conditions,most of our elderly citizens lives in rural areas. Thus,China's oldest old's work should focus on rural areas. Solve the problem of rural oldest old is the necessary requirement for maintain social stability and development, and the necessary condition to build a new socialist countryside ,and the necessary foundation for building a harmonious society.This paper is divided into five chapters,the first chapter discusses the research background and significance of this article,as well as international and domestic literature review,points out the research methods and innovations.
