The Review Of Legal Problems On Villager Election

Villager autonomy which can be seen as a unprecedented democratic practice in our country history, is a big breakthrough in grass-roots democracy of China. It deeply roots in our national practice and local political and culture circumstance. Self-management, self-education and self-service are the main issues in villager autonomy. There exist democratic election, democratic decision-making, democratic management and democratic supervision throughout the whole operation system, which is implemented in China's vast rural areas. No one can deny that Chinese villager election is a key for villager autonomy. With a good grasp of the villager election system, we can deeply understand the system of villager autonomy.Villager election which is a useful way for villager to govern and deal with village affairs, is one important part of our current election system. The spirit of villager election right and the value of freedom which roots in constitution and human protection are concord. So, it can be seen as a fruitful mean for villager to put the sovereignty of the people principle of constitution into practice. Just as the citizen election right, the villager election right should also be regulated by the constitution. Currently, so many people show their concerns about villager election. It is a golden opportunity for us to launch some researches and study on villager election in the skeleton of democratic constitution.From this thesis, we can learn something about villager election system including the basic principles of the system, election procedures and other relevant content. And then, we will make some analyses about the existing problem in current villager election system and the reason which behind these problem. Finally, we attempt to try our best to seek some solutions.
