A Study On Contemporary Feminine Participation In Polity In Northern Europe

Although the article of feminism is written into the constitutions in most of countries, only less than 10% of political entities are led by women in the world which consists of more than 220 countries. The women playing an active role in polity are regarded of"landscape". The word"landscape"emphasize the pretty of women and also reveal the meaning that"The rare values more."As the foundation of multiplying and the half part of human, women are provided by an very important position which can never be substituted. However, their function in economy, polity and society are ignored, discriminate and suppressed. Besides the pressure of race and rank, women, as a kind of sexual body, must endure many stresses coming from man world. It seems that"women"becomes the substitute of"the weak". Whereas, discrimination and suppression turn into the realistic impetus of the awakening of women and the rise of feminism movement.In Europe of 17th and 18th century, with the establishment of capitalism, and the rise of enlightenment and the thought of reason which focus on individualism and equal, feminism movement spring up in all the European countries. From the west with powerful feminism to the eastern of south Asia with strong conservative, a large group of women in polity come into being who distribute all round the world. Women participating in polity appears as a tendency of the development of women and the world polity.Within the world, the district where women participate in polity altogether is northern Europe, among which five countries such as Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden keep ahead. The industrial reform in northern Europe comes later than Britain and France. Chinese women have made some development in demanding political right which began in the beginning of 20th century, but remain a low level as a whole. The social development need the return of women right, and the development of women also require urgently the relevant right. Creation of a wide environment where women can participate in polity becomes the wise choice of society. Therefore, we should appeal the whole society to get rid of actively all barrier blocking women's participation in polity, and change the discriminative and negative understanding about women, and make women exert their wits totally.Through analyzing the prominence of women's participation in polity and the working of concrete policy and so on, this thesis supplies some theory and realistic gist for women's participation in polity in our country, by using the policy of women's participation in polity in northern Europe and the experience of lawmaking protection.
