A Study Of Juvenile Criminal Procuratorial System In China

Juvenile deliquency has become an outstanding social issue. It is distinct from adult crime because of the following features of the offenders. As the juveniles have not fully developed their world views and can be moulded to a large extent, they are apt to correct their errors and return to the society. Therefore, it is imperative to establish an independent juvenile criminal judicial system, which is also the requirement of building socialistic harmonious justice. The juvenile criminal procuratorial system plays an essential role in the abovementioned judicial system. However, this procuratorial system has not been constructed completey in China, since our country starts late to explore it in practice. Thus, this thesis is intended to discuss the juvenile criminal procuratorial system in China. According to the comparison with the advanced systems in foreign countries, it points out the defects lying in the conception, principles and operation of the current juvenile criminal procuratorial system in the country, and further proposes some suggestion on how to improve and perfect the current system.
