Japan launched chemical war in large scale in World War II, and the Japanese army abandoned lots of chemical weapons in China, which damages the environment and people. However, Japanese government shows Negative attitude in this issue and denies the civil claims from Chinese victims. All those indicates that Japan refuse to take post-war responsibility. So this dissertation researches the post-war responsibility on abandoned chemical weapons in China. The first part introduces the current situation of Japan's measure taken in this issue and points out that Japan is destroying the abandoned chemical weapons but still denies civil claims from Chinese victims. The second part analyzes this issue from the perspective of post-war responsibility. And it maintains that the responsibility on abandoned chemical weapons can be classified into post-war responsibility. The third part researches the constitutes of national responsibly and persists that Japan should take post-war responsibility because its'wrongful act in World Warâ…¡and compensates Chinese victims hurts by those abandoned chemical weapons. This part also criticizes the reasons put forward by Japanese Court. The last part is post-war responsibility Accountability on abandoned chemical weapons. This part put forward support form theory and regulations and also suggests the victims to launch lawsuits with further effort, the Chinese government should also give them some support.
