Research On Honesty And Integrity In The Vision Field Of A Harmonious Society

As the traditional virtues of Chinese nation and the most important social norms, honesty and integrity have always been highly praised and venerated by people. However, under the background of structural transformation and social transition in China, comprehensively affected by many factors such as economic, political, cultural, institutional and social circumstances, on condition that the original ideological and ethical system has gradually collapsed after a strong attack, and the socialist ideological and ethical system compatible with the socialist market economic development has not been duly established that for a time"absence of social norms"appears, people's ideological and ethical ideas, ideal and value orientation and the consciousness of being honest and keeping faith have had a deviation, a phenomenon of lack of honesty and integrity emerges in multitude and runs rampant in some fields, becoming an outstanding bottleneck and a major barrier in the healthy and orderly development of socialist market economy and the structuring of a harmonious society. For this, to make a study on honesty and integrity in the vision field of a harmonious society is of positive and realistic significance.Taking the connotation study of honesty and integrity as the start, on the basis of the analysis on China's traditional thought of honesty and integrity and their limitations, and using western thought of honesty and integrity for reference, this article concludes China's modern thought of honesty and integrity to six aspects, including ethical morals, legal principles, economic laws, political resources, harmonious ties and existence insurance. To start from the angles of harmonious social relations and harmonious relations between man and nature covered by harmonious societies, the article divides social honesty and integrity into four fundamental forms such as individual honesty and integrity, enterprise honesty and integrity, government honesty and integrity, and ecological honesty and integrity. Individual honesty and integrity are the foundation, enterprise honesty and integrity are the emphasis, government honesty and integrity are the crux, and ecological honesty and integrity are the guarantee. The article summarizes the importance of four kinds of honesty and integrity, pointing out the main expression of four kinds of honesty and integrity absence and their results, further analyzing the reason to bring about lack of honesty and integrity, and has provided theoretical foundation and realistic basis for the routing of honesty and integrity construction in the vision field of a harmonious society.Regarding the scientific meanings and the basic features of harmonious societies as the point of penetration, this article gives an illustration that as one of the scientific meanings and the basic features of harmonious societies, honesty, integrity and companionship are the foundation with no substitute in structuring a harmonious society. In view of the core status and exemplary role of government honesty and integrity, the article proposes that in the construction of social honesty and integrity, the rule of"unified charge and joint construction, government goes first"should be followed. On this basis, it focuses the probe into the routing of social honesty and integrity construction, and the main measures include: to establish and improve the honesty and integrity legal system to effectively standardize the behavioral subjects, property system, and bad-credit punishment system; to vigorously promote the reform of administrative system and speed up the transformation of government functions; to establish and improve as soon as possible a nationwide complete credit investigation database and inquiry system involving individuals as well as enterprises and institutions, and intensify information disclosure; to strengthen the ethical education on national honesty and integrity and construct an atmosphere of honesty and integrity; to develop recycling economy, strengthen the construction of conservation culture, and build a resource-conserving and environment-friendly society.The innovation of this article is shown in two aspects. Firstly, it makes a trial to draw the ideas of social honesty and integrity into the relations between man and nature, proposes the concept of"ecological honesty and integrity", indicates that ecological honesty and integrity is the security of social honesty and integrity, and further generalizes the manifold manifestations of lack of ecological honesty and integrity and the serious results. Secondly, it points out that in the construction of social honesty and integrity, government honesty and integrity should be regarded as the leading on the construction of social honesty and integrity, the rule of"unified charge and joint construction, government goes first"should be followed.
