| In the Central Military Committee's expending meeting at the end of 2008, Hu Jintao, pressident of the Central Military Committee of the PRC, explicitly advocated that the PLA should center on enhancing the spirit bacbone of the Chinese PLA members, vigorously cultivating the contemporary PLA members' core values of "devoting to the Party, loving the people, serving the country, dedicating to mission, advocating honor", which is an important act on the political and ethnic construction of the Chinese PLA in the new historical conditions, and a foundation work for the PLA to further enhance solidarity and maitain development momentum. On a new stage of a new century, the degree of the Chinese PLA members' participating in national construction is deepenning, their main missions are increasingly expanding, and the personnel structure and psychological conditions are also changing. Therefore, the cultivarion of contemporary PLA members' core values faces new challenges, which brings more high demands to the research on innovating the cultivating approach.The PLA members'prosocial behaviors put forward in the thesis is an effective approach to cultivate the PLA members' core values in a new period. By using social psychology, the PLA political and enthnic work, strategics and other related theories, the thesis, on the basis of anlyzing the different characteristics of PLA Members' prosocial behaviors in different historical periods of development, finds out the relevancy between the PLA members' prosocial bohaviors and the core values, then advocates rightly applying the PLA members' prosocial behaviors as the carrier of practice to support the cultivation of the core values, so as to meet the demands of innovatively cultivating the core values, the demands of the PLA members to actively agree with new situations and new missions, and also the demands of the PLA members to improve their comprehensive qualities and enhance their combat effectiveness.
